Alignment Commentary
In order for a golf ball to travel on the envisioned path, the golf club must be aimed properly. If alignment of the club is not correct, then the golfer’s hands, arms, head, shoulders, hips, knees, and feet will have to compensate for the misalignment. This always leads to inconsistency.
It is important for the golfer to start with proper club alignment, then align the body to the club head. This is the only way golfers can consistently swing on plane and therefore hit closer to the target.
Because the club’s toe is higher then the heel, the slanted top plane of the iron aims about 20 degrees to the right of the target line. This makes irons hard to aim because the ball and grass obscure the iron’s leading edge and the golfer is standing off to the side of the target line.
The new patented AT-505 irons solve this alignment problem by using an indicator on the patented top plane so the golfer can:
1st...... Stand behind the ball and visualize a line between the selected target and the ball.
2nd.... Pinpoint a leaf or mark a few feet in front of the ball and on the target line.
3rd .... Address the ball utilizing the effective Thomas Golf indicator to aim the club at the selected mark and the target itself. (The patented indicator is parallel to the ground and perpendicular to the club face)
4th .... The club is now aimed directly at the target. Align your body parallel to the indicator and target line.
Now that your club and body are aligned properly, finish your normal routine and experience the advantage of increased accuracy.
